Privacy policy
How Grant Review handles the drafts and information you give it. Last updated 9/30/2026.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password itself.
- What you submit: grant drafts, supporting documents, links, the organization and funder names you enter, and any corrections or feedback you send.
- Results: the scorecards and funder research the tool produces for you.
- Basic usage records: when you sign in and when reviews are run, used to operate the service and control costs.
How your information is used
- To score your drafts, research funders and show you your past reviews.
- AI processing: the text you submit is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI service to be scored and to research funders. It is processed under Anthropic's commercial terms for business customers.
- Improving Grant Review: if you leave "Let Write On use this draft to improve Grant Review" checked, Write On staff may review the draft, its scores and any corrections to refine the reviewing rules and test improvements. Uncheck it on any review to opt that draft out.
- Public information about funders (IRS filings and funders' websites) is gathered to research fit. We don't collect information about you from other sources.
How your information is stored
- Data is stored in a private database on a secured server hosted by Render in the United States, reachable only through this site's sign-in.
- All connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS).
- Access is limited to you and authorized Write On administrators.
- We keep reviews until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Deleting a review removes the draft, its scorecard and your corrections from the service.
Sharing
We don't sell your information or share your drafts with funders or anyone outside Write On, except the service providers that run the tool (Anthropic for AI processing and Render for hosting), or when required by law.
Your choices
- Delete any review from its scorecard page.
- Opt a draft out of use for improving Grant Review when you submit it.
- Ask us to export or delete all of your information by emailing aaron@writeonfundraising.com.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
